Buying Long term WordPress plugin (and theme) developer wanted!

I'm looking for a WordPress developer with experience in coding plugins and themes

Based on an existing plugin we are creating a review site for dive centers world wide. You most likely know sites like yelp and tripadvisor, we are aiming for a light version of the same just for a smaller niche.

I expect this to be 1-2 month full time for the initial development and then part time freelancing for modifications, new features and maintenance.
As I see it the plugin I've found can do around 50% of what we need and it's definitely not bug-free so initially there is a lot of work to be done there.

You must know not only your way around WordPress, but also plugin development, responsive themes, github and be good at documenting your work.

We have 80-90% of the design done, but some parts will be made as the development comes along. I don't expect you to be a designer, but it's important that you understand usability.
Key elements the perfect candidate must have:
    • Proven track record
    • Great communication
    • Understand the importance of SEO and usability
    • Be able to tweek a piece of code or database call to give optimal speed performance
    • Know the "right way" to do things, but also when to use a "shortcut"
    • Not be afraid to learn something new
    • But first and foremost you must be willing to create something truly amazing with us :)
We use Podio for daily communication about tasks, email and Skype for other communication, Paypal for payments and a friendly tone all the time.

Send your application to with clear proof that YOU are the right person for the job.
Prove your skills, tell us about your past work history and how you handle bigger projects.
    1. Tell something about a coding problem you've once had and how you solved it
    2. Tell us how you work with documenting your work.
    3. Give example of previous work done and if possible some contact info on previous employers
    4. Lastly, tell us you salary expectations / hourly rate and when you can start.
Don't give me a copy/paste application. I'm serious about hiring the right person and I'm not going to hire someone that only care enough to send me a standard email.

PS; this is work from home / you local Starbucks / any given location you feel is comfortable.
While I'd prefer someone from Europe due to same timezones I'm open for any location in the world as long as we can have at least a few hours overlapping time each day.
