How to make by facebook business page more social?

I want to encourage fans to comment and communicate with each other on my business page, but it's really pathetic that their comments only show in one little section and their photos don't even show (only as attachments).

Are there any apps that would facilitate this? Maybe a group would have been better?

It ll depends on what you are posting. try to post some entertaining content as-well like photos,videos, questions

 

Hi, my posts are getting a lot of attention - no problem there. But when others leave their "own" posts they look pathetic and nobody engages with "them" which is what I would like; others engaging with each another.

 

You cannot do that with a page, create a group with the same name, ask everyone to join and it will be exactly what you need.

 

Try to interact with people more, speak to them personally, post something really challenging and controversial. This will make people react and take it closer. Don't make it a goody-goody corporate page about nothing, that nobody reads and only company's employees are made to like.

 

Post thought-out, encouraging comments on your followers' page posts (more than just "great post!") When people feel like your page is a place they can interact and be themselves -- you'll see more conversations.

 

Make more interaction with your friends and page likers

 

Try to ask questions and engage fans into conversations. Starting quizzes is a good option actually.

 

Just to follow up - I think sprinkling in the occasional light-hearted post can set a more conversational tone.
