    if i buy few PR3-4 domains with backlinks and redirect to my main site, does it works for my main site/ do i also get traffic and bigger PR then previous for main site ?

    Hi - if you do a proper 301 redirect from that domain then the domain you redirect to gets the pagerank and authority to it. Th domain authority and page authority are considered more important than PR nowadays, though so you may also buy domains with high DA and PA.

    They will get penalized with redirect penalty and will loose there PR quickly once backlinks starts getting de-indexed. Suggests not to go for this.

    I agree with everyone else not to go with this. You will end up with no PR on all domains instead of your target
