How To Rank For A Keyword Which is Already ranked in a lower position ?

Good quality design will probably be 50%+ of the task, at best, make or break the deal....
You can put up all the unique content you want, if it does not appeal, then you have already lost...
at that point, it does not matter how many articles you slap up about joe's worm shack....
Just because it is unique does not seal any deals at all, even your unique content has to
battle it out in the serps, and you are not the only one putting out unique content....
no matter which way you turn, its a tough market out there...

 

You're right dscurlock, but attractive content can bring you natural backlinks. That's why I wrote about content.
Obviously, as you said, it's a tough market out there.

90% of my sites even with quality design have made zero....
Not only that I am in the red by a good deal...
Some days I just want to shut it all down, and be done with it....

 

I would add something more. Articles must be useful. I don't care if the article is attractive if it is useless for my readers. And of course all depends on the kind of audience you have.

 

I can agree. If the site is full of usefull and unique content, that is interesting for the user, it will create natural backlinks anyway. There are a lot of cases about that. Look at Moz-blog or other SEO resources, that create content for user. And this content makes us create the most natural backlinks.

Content and linkbuilding become the same thing.

Well that depends of what page rank you want to increase. If you want to increase PA for a specific page, well..you know the answer.
Though, try to use different keywords. if you're linking to a page and use the same keyword on every site you might have a problem. Those links won't be consider as natural backlinks.

4. My point of view power full thing is structure you content like >> Title >> Meta Description >> Body content ( Must be title <h1> line) Use light weight images and should be some better outer links on your page.

This is totally wrong that Google doesn’t count backlinks of your site to rank your site in SERP. To rank well in SERP, you should properly optimize your site according to Google guidelines. Do proper on-page and off-page of your site. Generate backlinks for your site from high PR sits which are relevant to your site. Focus on quality not quantity.

 

Back links will always be a impoartant part of the SERPs
