Submitting articles to Reddit?

Discussion in 'General Marketing' started by Domoner, Apr 2, 2014.

Hi, I wanted to submit some of my fitness articles to Reddit to create some exposure for my website but I don't think I was going about it the right way.

On the homepage I selected Submit Post and selected sub-reddit (fitness) .. but that's just a forum like the part of digital point that I am posting on here, so an article wouldn't fit it?

So where on Reddit should I be submitting to? Thanks.

It's okay, I found out what to do. Yeah that's true, it's just difficult to find places to contribute content to.

    Thanks.

If you have something to offer, Reddit is going to be more than willing to distribute your company. If you are just promoting yourself, Reddit is not only going to punish you for it, but it could come back to haunt you outside of Reddit. I’d be real careful about how you promote yourself on there.

Reddit is not a good place to submit articles, but rather a good place to start a discussion, in hope that you will draw people back to your site.

You can consider Reddit for bookmarking the articles that you have published. Bookmarking on Reddit helps in getting the articles indexed faster.

There is nothing wrong with promoting your own links on reddit as long as you don't list only (or mostly) links to your own site. I usually add 3-4 links to other sites and make 3-4 comments for every 1 link I post to my own site.

Reddit is not a good place to promote website instead try making your website SEO. Consider getting a good domain and Twitter/ Facebook/ Pinterest etc works very well
