Major SERP update recently - Agree ?

    Hello,

    In past days, I knew responsive site with rich content site are emphasized and taken care by Google SERP. Surprisingly , I have observed that in recent days (mostly in last 2/3 days) I have seen that, Lots of static contents based poorly maintained and / or average websites are getting promoted in compared to rich sites.

    I saw many sites gets promoted although they are not update in last 3 / 4 years. What is your experience ?

    Please share with me if you see some changes in recent days.

    There was a paranoid thread at BHW 3 days ago: some forum gurus complained about losing positions at all major keywords of the sites they promoted. Looks like some kind of algorithm update has actually taken place

    Google updates frequently, there's ALWAYS some kind of update going on. Gone are the days of PR updates at 3 monthly intervals.

    I'd say there's definitely something going on... I've seen a ton of our rankings move up pretty dramatically in the last 72 hours.

    No doubt it will priortise more paid listings in SERPS and downgrade great quality content that isn't involved in Google advertising programmes.

    I Think i Gt some change in SERP, but not sure about all other rankings because i did not see any major traffic change in my site

    I feel some dramatic update last 15 or so hours.....

    didn't felt almost anything in May.... But no searches now some half a day....

    No doubt that something is going on. I see huge movement and very intensive Google dance. I would say that rankings for few of my websites change 2-3 times a day.

    maybe your are seeing what google call google dance , and sometimes whene google try new algorithmes affect SERPs .

    I have watched some of my site and I see no significant update. My blog is 11 years old and I see nothing special after the new algorithm installed

    Google Dance - no wonder.
    In fact, I see the changes that I've already seen a month ago. I swear, that Google has turned over its index to a previous date (have some of the URLs saved for that what are no longer live and were thrown out of index but I see them now on the same positions!).
    I would recommend everyone to watch and not to resort to quick actions that might bring harm to websites in the future. In the time of Google Dance this is a usual case.

    Have seen some weird SERP changes the last few days. Went down like 30 / 40 spots and went up 20 / 30 a few days after. Lets see how this will end.
