    Uhm, are you even able to link to local files from the web (without running HTTP server of your own)? And what kind of sense does it make to use MediaWiki as diary? Why not e.g., WP that's made for the purpose?

    And what are you even trying to achieve with this? Saving your bandwidth?

    Hi SliceOfLife, I am using Mediawiki for all my websites and am so used with the software. I have tried WP but I am not familiar with it and I find it hard to search for previous articles. As it is, not all my entries are based on chronological order. I may find a useful article and then paste it onto my website. By making it private, I don't have to worry about copyright infringements.

    Regarding HTTP server, I think it may not be necessary, if shmerkerosu's method works.
