I understand that placing your website link in your signature on all forums is good. But what are you suppose to use as the keyword?

For example.... My clothing line I want to rank high in google for. My anchor text is CMFA Clothing. Is it support to be just my site name or a keyword I am ranking for?

Your forum signature has no SEO purpose. Its there for other forum members to view when they see your posts. Usually, a signature would be a line of text stating what your site is about or a benefit, then placing your site link in that line of text.

By being active in the forums, providing value, members of the forum see your posts, check out your link and visit your site.

Just checked your CMFA clothing site, pretty cool site by the way!

If the forum site is dofollow than each forum signature flashed below of each post will be counted as a backlink of your used site url into your signature.

I suggest no need to concern too much on anchor text for SEO.

Personally (for whatever that is worth), I've abandoned keyword-rich signature links in forums, since I suspect that Google is looking askance at that and may consider it to be done strictly for SEO/ranking purposes. Instead, I've gone to a simple, descriptive link to my actual website homepage, in case any Digital Point posters wish to check it out in the context of discussions on this forum. I've done the same on another software-related forum which, like Digital Point, is not related to my website's niche.

Signature links in forum sites can be use as a medium for gaining traffic from the members. This link can offer guidelines for the visitors on how they will be benefited from the content.

Try doing and be prepared for seeing the manual action page for unnatural link pointing to your site let me remind you brand promotion can be done but using keywords for promoting your brand is going to affect you adversely in an ineffective manner.

Not sure of much benefit of using keyword rich text for signatures. Just a simple link back to your website would be best in my opinion. Reason being, that's multiple links with the same keyword - Google may look down on this.
