Try focusing on those communities, groups and pages on social media that have more indian active members, You should make a blog or page on facebook about your website, in that way you can advertise on facebook, also try to be active and involve in those forums and chatrooms related to your niche and use the URL of your website in your signature.... ofcourse there are many other endless ways. You can also buy traffic from freelancers on sites like SEOClerks, listingdock etc. Now choose the ways, with which you are comfortable. What I can comment - about Facebook - yes, indeed I have a page for my site, there are 22 likes in 2 years, my friends....I have a very friends there, and most of them are of kind who would never click any 'like' button for me, except may be I'd put a knife to their throat!
There are a bounch of Facebook communities on my subject, but they are really very inactive, even if there are around a thousand members, there are usually only a couple regular posters, so I get bored with them, when I come back after a week and still my last post is the first to see.

Much better community I have had in G+ , G+ is much better option. But still G+ alone is not a solution.....

And why I am looking for a Indian public? - Like I said above - I'd like to have a qualified reader on my topics - with at least some rough base understanding - what is difference between Advaita , Shuddhadvaita and dvaitadvaita, what is difference between Shankara and Ramanuja, why people do Āratī and pujas, why they read Sahasranamas and mantras, what means God-realization and so on.....
We can speak in much greater detail, but it's difficult with average American who have no clue at all and a lot of prejudices above....I realize, there can still be SOME qualified and some Indian-American in USA, but I still believe the base level in India should be a way above...

I really can't fathom why you'd turn down the actual money-making traffic everyone else is after, and replace it with junk traffic, but that's your call.

I just say, I don't need just some average American traffic who, even if they somehow would land on my page would make big eyes and leave in 1.5 second, or otherwise start some nonsense talking.

The most simple way to get traffic is to begin a PPC company, targeted on India.

 

First I need funds and for funds I need traffic....
If I got traffic and funds, PPC were not an option, LOL

 

For funds you need money. And for quality SEO, good PPC and another IM you will always need funds. Internet marketing make funds generate more funds. That is the rule of this game.

 

no, the rule of game is - I am several years on the net, I have really great authority page on subject;
since I have no any income for those years, it's clear I can't do any PPC or additional seo; I have just excellent website and time; and I need visitors.

p.s. ohh.. and not to mention the website is not selling anything, it's much authority info and adsense...

And everyone knows there is PPC, Adwords, FB adds, Bing, 7search, etc if only you have money! If I got bucks, I would do CPA and not waste time with adsense website!

Where is your website hosted? (Hopefully in India)
Where do you rank on Google India? (Focus your SEO from authority sites in India.)

Have a low cost contest, giving away something small, but desirable. This could get your site shared wildly on Facebook and Twitter if you can get people talking about the contest.

Find Podcasters from India that might interview you about your site and contact them.

Send emails to top spiritual leaders in India, and ask to do an interview with them to post on your site. (They will spread the word about the interview for you.)

That's just a few ideas that pop to mind.
