Hi, guys, I find lots of my blog url like this: mywebsite.com/Abc-cba-Bac-cab.html I can't change it now. I've check resources say the url path parts best with all lower case. My question is how much negtive impact my urls have? Thanks.
Well, I don't think that having and uppercase or lower case url path is going to impact SEO. Google doesn't follow any type of policy where you need to change the URL resources to the upper case or lower case.
All urls should be lower case, this does not affect SEO in any way, but trying to remember helgesverre.com/My-SuperAAWESOMEblog/ is fucking annoying for a visitor and yourself.
In the URL bar, URLs can't be uppercase. In text, changing between upper and lower can seem more "natural" to users, as diversification is natural, and changing case can affect visitors (more eye-catching upper case for some, makes a keyword stand out to the reader, etc), but bears no importance to search engines, and rightly so.
Just because we can see it, doesn't mean it carries any value. somewhateverwebsite . com / search is the exact same as somewhateverwebsite . com / Search The text gets parsed and no machine reads them or quantifies them differently, only people do.
Certainly. Also, if you shorten links you can have upper and lower case redirect differently, but that's not the case OP is referring to. In OPs case, with all other variables remaining equal, which is the only way to test OPs case, there is no benefit or detriment to the different case in URL. I will make sure next time to be less hyperbolic and explain why there's no difference in the specific case instead of making blanket statements like I did. Thank you for contradicting me in an actually constructive way, very good stuff.
Well @Jack Huang You can go forward with your mixed pattern type link I don't think it is going to ...... any bad or... !! effect .
