OK... We made something like stumbleupon... I tried to make it very simple (for now) but we will add more options features and interests...

We display 50 the best urls on index from all categories but you can go to category "Cars" and see 50 best URLs about cars... This 50 urls change their position because users view and voteup on links...

You can select 2-3-4 interest to watch at once (etc. Cars, Humor and Photography)

You don't need to register to see Urls... But if you want to Submit, VoteUP or choose any interest you must register... If you are registered and click on Show Me! button you will never get same website twice - you will always get different URLs... You don't need to vorry about spam. Our website will not accept more then 3 links from same domain in 24hours.... So u will not get same website often - this is a case with stumbleupon and 500px.com and 1x.com - if you stumble photography u will get pages from this websites every 2nd-3th hit I want to make discovery engine where every website has same chance to get traffic and users will get many different websites to see...

ATM - We do not accept any warez, adult, comercial (like Amazon.com) websites... Also websites about hacking cracking and those stuffs are forbiden...

The bar at the top does not display very well for me things are overlapped. Im using chrome. Good idea though and wish you the best of luck with it!

 

Can u tell me resolution of your display... We tested it on 1024x768 but I don't have 4:3 display - maybe that is a problem... I think that is not problem with chrome... We have chrome and everything is OK

 

I fixed it - 1024x768 is fine now

I want to know can I use Google Adsense on this website. I will not use GAds on my iframe toolbar. I will put ads only on pages above and below the list of links... Someone told me that I can not use GAds if I only link to other people's content - but Fark.com use GA. Please answer.. Tnx

 

Adsense can be a bit finicky with websites that look like they were made only for Ads. I just checked out your website. Do nothing with the iFrame - that is asking for trouble. If you cram in your links too close with Adsense ads, that would be an even easier excuse for the Google team to come knock down the site, too. And you're right, no GAds - even if you don't link others' content. By what I know, Fark.com runs premium Adsense. I think above and below should be alright - just make your Adsense Ads more distinguishable. I hope that helps and all the very best to you.

My friend submitt my website for Adsense Account (he apply for new ADsense). They was not accept me because "Insufficient content: To be approved for AdSense and show relevant ads on your site, your pages need to have enough text on them for our specialists to review and for our crawler to be able to determine what your pages are about."

So I added "Description" field to submit page and I show description below every link... Now I have a lot of text at my pages... (I will not show ads on iframe pages)

I would recommend a POP-UP, UNDER, INTERSTITIAL Network. Good job, simple. I would change a few things

I hate to be the one to say this, but if you are looking to compete with SU, your GUI needs much better graphics and colours. I really hate saying this, but take it as very constructive criticism, your logo and theme need a lot of work. Have you considered going to fiverr and finding a logo maker to jazz it up for you? Maybe you could get a web developer over there to look at the colour scheme for you. THe idea is really good, but the colour scheme was a turn off for me. Again, please take this as constructive criticism. Good luck. Oh, and definitely consider using interstitial ads like adf.ly or something, instead of GAds. Google tends to get easily offended by sites like these. Also, your title "Discover the best of Internet", would imply that "Internet" is an uncountable noun, like "Discover the best of oil" or "discover the best of water". If this is intentional, then you will need to somehow include that in your marketing pitch, as the many grammar warriors out there will quickly call you on it, and it does give the impression of poor English, which in turn gives the impression of not being very professional. If its not intentional, then may I suggest you add "the" before "internet" as in it's natural form, "internet" is a singular noun. The cat, the dog, the internet. Good luck!

 

@FCM - I could use POP-UP advertising but don't u think it is anoying for that king of website? BTW why u said that I should not use Google ads on this website? I saw many many pligg (bookmark) websites using google ads

You stand a high probability of getting banned from adsense, you do not have control of what is in the frame that you have below it... you are not allowed to do that... pop-ups are so common most people just ignore them and you still earn money from it being viewed... pop-ups are a way of life these days the site you are building isn't going to make a lot of money from clicks anyways mostly fraudulent clicks so I'm just saying...
