Let me take one example to explain you the basic difference. One website having 3 different goal 1) Product Purchase 2)Brochure Download 3) Contact form. Now 2 different visitors visited your website and from then, 1 has only purchase product and another has purchased product and also sent your inquiry from contact form. You will see, 2 converted click and 3 conversion.
