How to prevent traffic from porn sites?

I got to know that referral traffic from two or three porn sites to my blog, while checking my traffic logs today. My blog is animal related. I am little bit worry because Search engines may penalize my blog for these kind of traffic.

I checked the source code and there are no links to my site from their sites, yet I have visitors from them.

    Is it necessary to worry?

    How to prevent these traffic?

    lol.. heh, That's sorta funny.

I think we need a few specifics though, to flesh this out. What is the referring URL and where does it land on your site. You can pm it to me if need be.

At the end of the day its probably just funny and not much to worry about.

It's referrer spam. A pointless black hat "SEO" "technique". It is in the hope that a site displays its top referrers. Ignore, nothing to worry about, unless you publish your top referrers.

As Ryan told you, nothing to worry about, but you can opt to "block" bad referres by using .htaccess directives. Look for ".htaccess referrer block" (or something like that) to add some line of code that will reject the unwanted referrer(s).

I would also block them via working on the .htacccess file! But if you don't see any backlink from the site, then this is just NOTHING. It could be a script that shows the visitor came from this website! ;)

If you are getting traffic from porn websites that means you have a link form porn sites. That's bad news if you start getting an abundance of links from the porn sites. I would suggest taking a look at your links before it becomes a problem.

Do you have any idea of how many porn links are going to your site?
