Contest $70 homepage design contest + $250 to be won - PayPal payment

Dear DPers,

Its a design contest but we would like the winner to do responsive coding as well. Please read all details below.

So here are basic details:
1) Stage 1: $70 homepage design contest. (You can leave after this if you are not a html coder and your design is selected)
2) Stage 2: $250 for 4 more pages + responsive html coding
3) You give me layered PSD, fonts etc.
4) If you are doing Stage 2 as well you give me fully responsive design. All source codes needs to be submitted.
5) Payment will be by PayPal only. In case you do only stage 1, then I pay you after stage 1. If you do both stages then I pay you at the end when stage 2 completes.
6) After everything done and confirmed by us, I will send you payment. You send me source codes only after payment.
7) Contest to be open till 24th. We will decide by 26th.
8) I may ask modification or variations but that does not mean its selected.
9) Those 4 pages as mentioned in stage 2 will be a) booking page b) contact us page c) apartment details page d) client area home page

Target audience

From my experience in receiving guests at my own aptm.
- family travellers who came to the city for vacations of 5 to 7 days
- the vast majority of the bookings are made by females
- Organisations of professionals that came to the city for professional reasons to attend conferences or seminars.
- My ideal clients are women couple (suspect gay) taken a few days out from they normal lifes and enjoying the city's mild weather.
- Clients probably coming to the site for browsing aptm looking for an option against the normal Booking.com hotels.​

Social media

- Site will be exposed to social media and we need social media sharing buttons at appropriate places ​

Design Assets

- I like the logos/lettering attached with this post and as they appear on the current https://brightlisbon-apartments.com.
- I prefer the background color to be white with sections separated by light grey bars or very thin black/dark grey lines.
- Button colors to be red with white/very light grey lettering to standout.
- Calendars background color to be light yellow with white days boxes with black numbers. NON available dates to be red boxes with light grey numbers ​

Design Ideas

- I prefer the home page to have on top, bellow the menu, a presentation of passing images from the city gallery and from a gallery of the aptms. In the middle of that image we have apartment search form. Have a look at https://www.airbnb.com/?cdn_locale_redirect=1. This is just an idea, you are open to your imagination
- the aptms detail pages is ok as it is either for the colors as well as for the sections arrangements and separations. You can again take inspiration from https://www.airbnb.com/?cdn_locale_redirect=1 but we welcome you to use imagination
- the sections displayed at the aptms detail pages must contain the same sections as they are for the aptm photographs, sleeping arrangement, amenities, map location, availability calendar, aptm mesurements, etc. Sections can be rearrange though.​

LIKE
- http://www.redappleapartments.com/paris/en/apartmentdetail/view/idapartment/4485 - the example from what brightlisbon was born.
- http://www.lissabon-altstadt.de/index.php?_c=-1&l=2 - Not particularly like it, not even the colors they use, but this site is very well organized and it is in fact the best selling for properties in the city. most probably because it is german and most of the clients are Germans. ​

WANT
Design wise, what I want is a visual clean, well organised pages, without too many things or photos or "flashes" to the viewer.
No dull grey colors nor pale or bright blues or greens. White, red and black must be the dominant colors.
Photos presentations must merge slowly.

I guess that's it. I hope you have a clear idea of what I want. In case any question please post here, I will answer as soon as I get free time.

Looks good. I like overall look, although I would like 2 rows of apartments and footer looks a bit empty. In footer we would like twitter feeds, recent blogposts, newsletter signup form. Thanks for the first entry .

Here is my entry. Everything is changeable (header image too). It can be converted easily to mobile view. I can code the html/css part too.

I got some time last night to give a detailed feedback for each one of the entries. Here it is:

@kferguson here is the detailed feedback for your entry
Like

1. The clean looking layout
2. Love the feature "on mouse over" image the display of information about the aptm (price, area etc.) without the need to go to the aptm itself.

Don't like

1. The logo and logo placement
2. The search for aptms box. Don't like that design
3. Overall design is not adding/changing much comparing it to what we have today

@Mihai101 here is the detailed feedbacck for your entry
Like

1. Love the logo and it's locations within the page
2. The top menu clean looks (except the word "Booking" at the top menu)
3. The looks and "transparency" of the search box (although maybe I would place it towards the lower right corner of the image)
4. The buttons colors (maybe the red at book aptm is a little too strong in the goal of the site)
5. The basic aptm information at this point about size and pricing

Don't like

1. The yellow color of the calendar.Try using red like @outwork69
2. A little too much information at the bottom grey area, but that's fine for now I guess

1. I think I could use that 3D 45º angle image with the marker of the aptm location. Great idea

1. The logo and the too empty white space of the top menu
2. The font on the buttons. Feels like old
