It's no-brainer, Google is better by far. The only time you should switch to Facebook paid advertising is when your sites are deemed as low quality and you can't get any ad servicing via AdWords.

It would depend on your campaign...what you are selling, who you are trying to reach, what is the intended goal at the end (a sale? a lead? a like on your social media?). I don't think one is clear cut better than the other in all scenarios. Each has strengths and weaknesses. They are both over-valued though. I do not personally feed either of those monsters.

They both suck in my opinion. Go with free traffic sources. Paid traffic is a waste of money.

While google is better, it can drain your account funds very quickly. Facebook is much cheaper, so I would test with facebook as well as 7search and then apply those ads to google

What i learned ( maybe is wrong ) is that products/services for womens are selling much better on Facebook. Adwords is better for general use with no gender targeting.

You can try these two ways using AB testing and see what works best for your product.
    1. Benefits of Facebook: demographic and behavioral knowledge about the users and information gathered about them.
    2. Benefits of Google - real-time knowledge of what the user is looking for.

Facebook is good for targeted fan pages. However, Google AdWords can help you reach people on a more global level. Google plans to advance a G+ sponsored stories one similar to the one that FB has/had.

As stated, Google Adwords has wider reach in terms of advertising and consumer reach but for social traffic, Facebook shouldn't be ignored.
