Check Ipage. It's cheap and a very good hosting company.

Domain registration or transfer is $15.99 per year at Ipage. Almost twice than godaddy.

It's cheap when get your hosting with ipage. Your domain registration comes for free. I'm sorry if you were only searching to transfer your domain without the hosting plan. It's good if you get with the hosting plan. Otherwise it's true that it's more expensive than godaddy.

hedoes not need hosting. he needs a simple domain transfer.

My bet would be Namecheap, then Godaddy, then back to Namecheap, then back to Godaddy. They always have promos on transfer and you can save tons of money if you are swift enough to catch these.

here's a godaddy promo exclusive for .info (at least advertised) gdbbx1705 . I used it for a renewal, but it may work for a transfer. It'll save you a $1 on renewal lol.

    .
I don't think there are many that apply to .info's. Maybe it has to do with the fact that .info's are only 2.99 to register. who knows lol. You can check out http://domainual.com/godaddy-promo-codes/ for some up to date ones I just used for .coms. They work with transfers. However, I'm fairly sure they will not work for. Info. I've never had to transfer a .info between my accounts, so I couldn't tell you for sure.

I'm sorry, but you won't find any cheaper for .info transfer. But from the other side, most registrars provide cheap .INFO registration (if that helps). :)
