    G+ after the bad performance in the beginning is on its way up, and if we consider Google's methodology, G+ will surely win its prominence in the near future itself. So its better to keep updated on G+ and book your spot before others

    Both can help your website rank higher but Google+ have an advantage that it's owned by Google which makes it more important for SEO in specific. it can help your website get ranked higher on search engine. Also Google Author markup is highly estimated online.

    Google+ hasn't really taken off as a social network. I use it for SEO, but Facebook is much better for getting real visitors to your site. I rarely get any Google+ referrals, but there are always lots from Facebook. I also like Stumbleupon. I usually get more visitors from there than any other social network

    Google+ and Facebook are more or less considered social media marketing not SEO. With that being said they both have advantages of getting people to the desired website. I personally wouldn't recommend them to rank better overall BUT people who are friends and add you to there circles will see sites that you liked on Google+ in better positions than if they were not logged in. Hope that made sense.

    I think of likes and votes more for increasing popularity, which I guess is a type of SEO. I would mostly use it for gaining traffic or convincing people of the legitimacy of a brand, product or service more so than for ranking higher in search engines.
