    I think doing both will give you a better output. You can't expect your content to get viral if you don't create a buzz or you are not a branded business. For me, both are important, content if for search engines while backlinks is like building relationships to those that are relevant to your niche.

    I second that. plus google and other search engines rank on backlinks from other domains. Unique content and backlinks from good high traffic sites will help you get more search engine listings. Not all backlinks will show up. They have cracked down a lot on link farms and I dont know the exact criteria but being linked from a well established sites makes all the difference.

    You're right. Backlinks actually behave like Catalyst for the SEO process. However, I have no idea about great backlinks. Can you tell some good source to make backlinks? I write unique content but need good quality backlinks, can you provide some good backlinks here? It will be really helpful

    As for backlinking, I believe there are other
    sources of traffic besides SEO.
