OK, so I have a very basic site that we just add a few videos to every day. Mostly trending videos, etc. It is similar to wimp.com

The last day or two I have had consistent 50-100 active visitors on the site. I've had about 13,000 unique visitors since the site started a few weeks ago, but there was a week and a half where I didnt update or push the site. I just say this to say that I know it will move forward in regards to traffic.

I have been denied Google AdSense and Yahoo networks because they say I dont have enough content. My content is 1-2 sentences under each video, but I guess I need more.

All of this to say - what do you guys recommend in general terms to start generating some income on this site? I know that there is alternatives to AdSense or Yahoo or Chikita (Chikita never responded to my signup)

I appreciate the time you guys take to help me, and I appreciate your patience.

I suggest you test out some CPA programs...specifically codec download offers. Try them out, see how they convert!

You were declined for ads based on lack of content. This is because the ads will not know what to display to give you relevant and related links.

Even if his videos had more content, then I feel adsense would have still denied him.
Sounds like he is pulling syndication content, and since google does not like syndication as it is not original content, then he will probably be penalized in the future anyway, and who is to say what google will do, some sites seem to get away with little to no slap, while other sites are slapped into complete darkness.

You'll probably hit the "not unique" problem too.

Thanks. Yea, Im not crazy about bidvertiser so far, would MUCH rather have tasteful advertising like AdSense. Maybe they will accept me into their program in the future.

Anyway if I'm not wrong, Adsense requires websites to be around for at least 6 months before accepting. My website was also rejected by them.

Well, I just hit the '10,000' impression mark yesterday with bidvertiser. Far short of my goal of 50,000 impressions a day, but I feel like I am on my way there. If anybody wants to check out the site, they can at www.epicplum.com

I submitted a new application for AdSense, hopefully I will get some good news tomorrow.

Any other advise or suggestions is welcome. All I know about advertising is this bidvertising ad on the site and the basics of AdSense...

Your content is not original so be careful, Google HATES unoriginal content.

I would reccomend testing out some CPA networks, too.

Also; you could look to sell advertisements to other related businesses?

It wouldn't hurt to have an original written part to the website to add more content. I guess that would take up a lot more of your time than just embedding videos.

Maybe sell a spot for a featured video if you get enough traffic. Couldn't hurt to offer it on your site.

Try Bidvertiser they approve websites fast and pay good too (since been disapproved from Ad-sense I tried different ad networks even Chitika but after 5 months of experiments with different networks found Bidvertiser pays more). For my website with 600-650 pageviews/day I get about 0.50-1.50/day. I know its not much but way better than other networks.
