    First of all content, you need to provide valuable content to you readers/clients, seo friendly text (no keyword stuffing), you need to create a newtork linking your site with your social media pages.. back to content, keep bringing new content to your blog, then add all king of widgets (latest posts, video links, best offers, best products, etc) to create intern links within your site.. and everything else that is common sense to post on your site that will bring visitors again and again.

    I personally use Genesis Framework for my website to optimize the site as it is the best framework in the market. Now a days search engines are looking for good content for the readers, keywords are no more helpful for SEO. Make sure to write great content for your readers and get connected with the through social networks, reply to their comments and emails, this will eventually help your blog to improve in SEO in the long run.
