    Yesterday, I realized that PR was incremented in one of my sites. Also average positions changed for many queries.

    Anyone else can confirm the PR update?

    Recently google has brought a bit changes onto their search algorithm and some of the folks have got updated PR: I don't think that a site having less than 6 months in age and very slower backlink has zero possibility in getting PR update but the concern is that you have to make sure quality content, and getting links from established websites those who have PR 5, 6 or 7 then you're one the right track.

    There hasn't been a major update recently, no. PR updates constantly, and some sites will see these changes appear every now and again but the major toolbar update (That is, the one that everyone can actually see PR changing) doesn't happen all that often.

    It's my opinion that Google is working towards no longer updating PR at all.

    Yup I agree... people/Google have been saying for years that it means jack shit these days. It'd be a big step to delete it all together though, there would be millions of posts, blogs, pages, software & scripts that would be deemed useless instantly. Probably why they don't scrap it altogether.
