    I tried Google, but found no valuable results... does anyone know how to set up a VPN on a dedicated server?

    The server in question is running on CentOS 5. :)

    @Dr.data i will appreciate if you can help me configure or install my dedicated server to also act as VPN server. i currently have a linus dedicated server from hostgator which i spends $174/monthly without fully utilizing it.
    i will want everything be automated whereby users can order dedicated IPs and they download setup file or instruction to configure the client on their computers.

    Also do you think Hostgator servers is safe and secure to render VPN business to clients?

    OpenVPN comes with free licenses for 2 users. It is good to configure and use. Performance is good and you can purchase the license as and when your number of users increase.

    As far as I know there is no free software that can automatize vpn's like you described but you can take a look at opevpn's paid software, it does exactly that.

    You need to install OpenVZ on your dedicated server.

    I just found a tutorial on that from YouTube , Hope it may help you
