    Hi,
I'm starting a new body building website. Mostly regular stuff like articles, pictures, some user interaction etc.
Other than SEO, What should I do to promote this website?
    I don't have a big budget...
What should I do to promote it on facebook? I'm not very familiar with facebook promotion methods.
Kindly help me jump start this site.
    Thanks

You should definitely Pinterest your photos, I think.

I think Bodybuilding is a pretty big thing on Facebook. I came across many pages with high interactions. Don't forget about Pinterest. Forget about Twitter. Google Plus is an option too.

I will highly suggest to go on to Facebook and Pinterest! Both of this social media platforms are built from huge database of users whom are concern about health and fitness! Other than that, you can easily try guest blogging on other bodybuilding related site to build targeted audience!

Write decent content to begin with, you've already mentioned Facebook but social media needs to be a main traffic source for your site, the competition for keywords like "body building tips" is competitive to say the least, you can get some nice traffic from image sharing if you do it right

Promote your site on the forum at bodybuilding.com, that is the best place to promote a site like that.

Here's a few ideas off the top of my head.
    1. Create accounts at popular Body Building forums and create a following by contributing good useful info consistently(become part of the community)
Add your URL in your profile and use a Signature link.
    2. Find good Body Building blogs to leave "useful" comments/feedback/ideas.
    3. Advertise on lesser known(low cost)/well known(higher cost) but high traffic Body Building sites. Ex. Banner ads/Text link/Guest Blog Post/Email Newsletter
    4. Ask your local gyms to leave Flyers/Business cards there.
    5. Leave Flyers on car windshields at local gyms (if it's legal in your area)
    6. Create Buzz! Interview famous Body Builders and post on your site.
    7. Social Media

This should give you a start. Remember Body Building isn't a hobby, it's way of life. You'll need passion for this sport to make it big. Good luck!

Blogads has some body building sites, I believe. I also ran across an advertising platform specifically for body building products. Sent them an inquiry email but have never received a response.

If you are particularly asking about to promote on facebook , then make a fan page of your site and promote that page. Update the page contents with attractive contents and it should be unique.

you can buy a solo ad related to the health niche and send the traffic to a squeeze page and get them redirect to your website or to a salespage ( the body building product)

    @JEET
    1. Create articles that have catchy subject lines.
    2. Share your articles to article directories and bookmark it.
    3. Share your article to social media sites like facebook and google plus.
    4. Creating info graph and videos that is related to your niche can be helpful too. After that, go back to no.3 share it to your social media accounts.
    5. Post body building pictures or anything relevant to your niche on pinterest or instagram. :)

    Hope it helps.. :)

Do memes that involve making the readers tag their friends. Motivational quotes e.g.

Finding famous body builders and landing interview with them should be awesome. @kjh-08
Little guerrilla marketing. But it takes effort.

The OP could find/contact them through their social media profiles and pitch the interview idea. Yes creating a great/Authoritative site that will be around for years and profitable will take effort.

    Thanks

I would make your Pinterest content more female-oriented since that site famously skews female.
