Social Bookmarking

Hi..

I've just started SEO for a new website. Can anybody tell me how many social bookmarking sites I should use daily to submit my site. Can I consider low page rank(1) sites initially.

 

No consider only the site having high page rank <=5 is much more appreciated. For social media you could always use the help of forums, yahoo answers. Social media like Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn etc. for your brand awareness and lead generation. Just make sure that you do this things regularly and remember don't spam and you will be good to go.

Good "rule of thumb" is to get back links from sites having the same page rank or higher. Personally, I would concentrate on spending some time on the highest one first and develope "followers" , then work my way down the list.

 

now guest posting is of no use. try blogging posting, edu links and etc.

Look @E01 if i talk about social bookmarking i don't think there is any limit as recently matt cutts already state that social sites are only left for lead generation purpose and brand awareness, It means they are not going to play any role in the ranking. I will say go on the full force and get all the benefits of the social media. What you just need to make sure is it shouldn't look too much, they can easily drive traffic towards your site.

 

Make your social signals (bookmarks and shares) coincide with the release of your content.

• If your site is brand new, then made a bunch of bookmarks on that day and the following week to two weeks.
• If you need a new article or page of content, do the same

I wouldn't go with a steady streaming flow of 20 social bookmarks per day. It looks unnatural.

To add, when making your backlinks from the social bookmarking sites, use them to diversify your anchor text with long related sentances, rather than your target keywords. Make them look natural, like a normal person might make: "Cool site with some great info about how to save on car insurance", "My coworker recommended this news blog to me", etc. Save the target keywords for your high powered links.

 

Yes social book marking in High Pr sites will be added advantage to you try to do that, it is considered to be best off page seo technique.

 

Yes, this is a good idea... Just to mention that On-Page SEO is much more important if you want good ranking like UNIQUE content and of course good On-Page optimization... Most of these backlinks won't help you because they are nofollow... That's why he could use Social Bookmarking sites with PR lower than 5... They are helpful... I am sure you are talking about FORUM PROFILES, not just posts in the forum... Also don't forget that Google+ is a good source of traffic too. And finally... do this every day, do NOT overdo anything like backlinking or submitting and pinging your website/articles!

I think Only Social bookmarking is not enough for build back-link or traffic for website
Social bookmarking is less then social activity yes you can do more social activity and use white hat seo tactics only
IF you want grow you website in Google then use these point

• Social activity in google+, twitter, digg, stumble upon or other
• Use guest post more and more
• Use Quality Content Only

I would choose 5-10 bookmarking sites. If your content is worth good links that these few bookmark sites will help you to show content to people who want to link to you.

 

Social bookmarking is easy and good way of getting the back links. Submit the link on the reddit, stumbleupon, delicious, blinklist, bibsonomy, sitejot, folkd, kodai flow, edictsonline are the best social bookmarking websites. And spend more time on these websites.

 

Don't juts post random links on these social sites, try creating a brand and better credibility in the major social media sites. This also help you gain lot of targeted visitors along with rankings.

Hi @E01, you can do 15-20 book marking daily.

But i suggest there are many other technique for SEO which help you to get rank.

• You can do forum posting.
• Blog posting and commenting.
• Guest Posting.
• Article submission etc.

Just focus on content marketing if you want rank in search engine.

I think you might like to use 3 social bookmarking sites per day. Not for submission, but to improve your profile ranks in these sites.

You can use 8-12 website daily for the bookmarking.But you try to post in high pr website which is more effective for your website.
