Sudden drop in CPC after placing my own ad codes.

    Hi everyone,

I have a question about CPC dropping, I recently purchased a site which had a stable $0.50 CPC, but after I placed my own ad codes(replacing seller's codes) on same Spots with same Ad format, the CPC is now around $0.10(from the last 5 days)

    so my Question is,
Is it Strange or normal after getting hands on a new site?
Will it get back to the old CPC that it had a few days back or its permanent now?

Keep in mind My Adsense account is Fresh, I created it this week.

    regards

    it happens,

don't worry about it, give it 2 weeks approx for the site to get indexed in your adsense account ( its a bit technical thing)

after 2 weeks, there is some other issue, like ad color etc etc

Thanks buddy for the prompt response.
Yes, before replacing Ad codes I kept that in mind to adopt same Ad colors that it had before.
Traffic is organic, PageView & CTR are also same. but its just the CPC that changed.

Yes, it sounds like it might of been fake. There would only be a couple hours max between the change of code. Maybe check htaccess to renew script every 24 hours.

Well lex, thanks for your input but I don't think he lied to me about the CPC, since the seller is really cooperative. he provided multiple proofs of earning via various screenshots, and he still helps me in many things related to the site. Upon asking about low CPC he said that it might be due to my fresh Adsense account which was created the same week I bought his site.
Actually I was trying to reply the other day due to a jump in the CPC but I waited for a couple of days to see if it isn't just a spike, Now I am seeing a lil improvement in the CPC from last few days. and I guess it is getting back on the track.
    earlier CPC was $0.10
    but from
    1st March $0.21
    2nd March $0.49
    3rd March $0.35
    & Today 4th March $0.75 :D

Sounds good. I believe there is an adsense bot, I'm probably wrong, and it takes some time for the best possible/relevant ads to appear on any new website.
