If I wasn't going to build my rig I'd probably buy one from IbuyPower. Alienware is way over priced in my opinion.

Always best to buy separate parts and build it yourself- like I did- cheaper and you will almost always get superior components. ANd building it is amazing fun.

It's hard to talk about pc brands because they all have same kind of hardware inside of them. I recommend building pc from separate components too and then buy a case that you like most. You usually save $$$ and get what you really need.

If i wanted to buy a 'branded gaming pc' i'd go with alienwear, but if i wanted a gaming computer, i'd build it myself and I'm sure it would be better than anything alienwear sell & a hell of a lot cheaper

An customized PC is more cheap & flexible for future upgrades & case mods...you might consider building your own which is in every terms will be better than branded one..

Alienware is overpriced. It is just the alienware casing which is cool. You can build a custom PC, as same hard ware as alienware, in nearly half a price of it.

More over, if you build a custom PC, you can upgrade it later as per your choice. buying premade gaming systems may not be soo good as in future you might not able to upgrade it as the motherboard may not support it.

So in my opinion, build a custom PC, it is not that hard.

Nope looking at that, a custom pc would be more powerful than that one.

Dude, don't waste your money buying an alienware computer. You can shell out 2k and have a beast of a gaming computer. Watch some youtube videos on how to build your rig and then list out each part you will need and buy them separately through the internet. Tom's hardware is good forum to visit if you have questions about building/parts/specs.

Alienware is very very pricey. Why not just build your own? There are lots of tutorials online :).
