Does Google penalize you at all for showing Google ads?

This might be a silly question but it's kind of hard to tell exactly what Google likes and dislikes sometimes.

Does Google ever look at their own ads as being a negative effect on a sites ranking? If you only have maybe 2 ads per page, but on every page. What about a brand new site? Is it wise to wait a while before placing Google ads or can you put them up right away without worrying about it hurting your site rank?

Google always shows the add related to content. If any content keyword match with any add they will show. For example in google adword a buyer make a add and put keyword car, card wash, car repair.
So if your content having any of those words. Like in your site its written. I like to drive car.
So google put the keyword car and shows the add related to car.

One more thing. If your site have high PR rank and alot of site visitor then google shows the add.
Google have two type of add. Per click type and per impression type.
For example a buyer create a add and set price 4$ for 200 add Impression mean he want that 200 people see my add. So sites with high traffic Google puts add Per Impression type add. Not Click able add.

Thats all i know about google adsense and adword. If you like my Post Kindly give me favour.

Yes, if you have too many ads above the fold.

A recent Google update in late January penalized sites for ads above the fold.

Frankly speaking, placing ads above-the-fold is quite common for many websites. That's a good way for publishers to monetize online content.

As for Google, it doesn't penalize sites who place ads above-the-fold to a normal degree, but its new algo does affects those that go much further to load the top of the page with ads to an excessive degree or that make it hard to find the actual original content on the page.

So does "About the Fold" mean at the top of the web page?

I think it doesn't matter whater your site/blog is new of old building. You can put Google add as per its rule. That will be alright.

Well, as some said, algo will affect on only the limitation of add ( 3 adds), why we put more the dust on the page, which is getting nothing pay...

Also an ad will increase your outbound links. Perhaps to your competitors.

Using Google's ads are fine. What the issue is - Google uses "raters" real people contracted throughout the world to rate websites on very specific guidelines. If your website has a tacky, cluttered display of ads, these raters will give your website a lower rating.

I awlays prefer to establish a website with quality content before I monetize it. Focus on adding value first and then the rewards will come!

AdSense has their own policy so you must follow their policy.
But if your question is about ads influence on your seo, it's no problem.
Ads use java sript, and google bot no read java script,
so it's okay for your SEO.
But my advise is not to over to insert ads on your page because will decreased your site value
also your visitor will gone because you bombarded them with ads.

I am not really sure how can such thing be a reason for a Google BAN... This means it would be harmful for your site if you have 2 ads and a better ranking if you have only 1 ad... Are you talking about this? :)
