there are free mass mail sites like chimp. You just have to clean up your emails before you send. By the way, anyone that needs their emails cleaned up (checked for validity) pm me, i can help you out real cheap.

set up a script on your server (ask developers in any scripting language or search internet for available scripts with minor modifications), Put script into a loop (set loop to 1000 iterations) and done!

 

talking about gmail, someone can tell me how to send a message to a group of email at once? i did not see the option to send to a group at once

 

You would have to use a subscription service as Gmail would limit the amount you send pretty quickly

 

I Think you should open txt file and copy all the email and paste it in address bar...(depend upon format of.txt file)

does it matter if you are sending to businesses? I thought there is a different set of spam rules where businesses dont have the same protection as consumers

 

If you really want to market your business, you should rather use your business email account and NOT your gmail account.

Well because you have joined that group and are receiving an email notification every time someone posts something new to that group. It's not rocket science.

Using google groups for traffic, leads, subscribers etc has been in practice for years as google groups have been around for as long.
In order to use them effectively you have to keep posting new stuff to them all the time otherwise your posts get buried under the many thousands of new ones.
Some of the google groups have many thousands of members. It depends on the group.
If you join one and post some stuff to it, that will show up in peoples email inbox for those that are subscribing to the group alerts (by default).
So thats how you are getting them and how you can get them to people. But not everyone in those groups are buyers. Many are webmasters just like you.

I think you need to ask whether email marketing is viable for you and you might be better off putting that time into I don't know, adding great content on your site for people and getting subs/optins/sales etc the natural way?
