where do porn sites get there videos?

I'm sorry if its the wrong section, I couldn't find a more suitable one.

I'm thinking of creating a porn video website
but where will I get the videos for it? should I create the videos?
should I buy the videos from people?
should I get people to host them on the site?
or what should I do?
suggestions?

Most websites do not create the 'content' themselves. The people who make the videos sell them to website owners etc.

You would need to find companies that sell the content. Although I have never created this type of site before I would guess it's expensive. Also there are many laws you would need to follow. Although it's easy to think getting traffic will be easy because it's a porn site unless you have a specific niche it will be very hard due to all the competition.

 

You need to do a little more research before you jump in. General Porn is a tough sell. You need to find your niche in porn even more than in mainstream. People will only buy if they get really hooked on something.

Content is usually provided by the affiliate unless you plan on selling your own product. In which case it's a spendy venture... I wouldn't recommend it unless you have hot girls with too much time on their hands and the money to invest in real equipment and the time and knowledge to do the editing.

I work with several adult affiliates. One gives me so much free content I couldn't possibly use it all. This tends to be the case with the larger companies.

And to be honest it gets boring really fast.

I'd suggest you take a trip to Vegas to Internext and enjoy yourself. Plenty of vendors to pitch their wares and lots of porn models. I haven't been in awhile... but its usually the week before the AVN stuff.

I think the idea of "creating porn video site" is really not good

first of all the showing porn videos is not respectable by most people.

second: you will not get thanks or appreciations for "your wonderful work"

thrid: you will not create a "new invention" that help to evolve the life of people

forth: what ever you will do .. you cant compete with the existing site specialized in this field.. unless you are ready to pay big amount of money.. as far as I know

also .. most of webhosting company dont allow for thier customers to show porn contents on thier sites.

as far as I know .. showing/downloading/uploading videos require substantial bandwidith... which is the biggest limiations for hosting accounts. the account on hosting company may be suspended/terminated soon for breaking the TOS

I found this quite funny. Ha. I do have to admit that porn sites do you make a lot of money. Hell, it's a 1.3 billion dollar a year industry in ONLY America. Your best bet would be to make something slightly unique and allow users to upload their own things but give them incentives. Look at the current leaders, they are the ones who are providing youtube streaming. If you want to create it yourself, go for it. Although, it's a little difficult seeing as you will need actors, camera equipment, etc.

No coz this will use a lot of server resources,in fact ask them to embedded the videos.

 

Like everyone else is saying it is a tough sell but if you find a fetish or unique angle you might be able to stand out from the crowd.

 

Really really dirty guys like you usually submit content to the websites. You have to incentives people to submit content, be it by paying them or offering other bonuses or recognition.

 

Every affiliate program provides free content you can use to promote their websites. There is your content.

 

Depending on where you reside you may have to comply with 2257 which requires you to have 2 forms of identification and signed release forms for every actor/actress. The penalty for not complying is very harsh. Huge tube sites get away with this because they are operated out of "across the sea" countries and they have the financial support to go to court.

Web Sites like Bang Bus, Cum Fiesta etc. all shoot their own content. They pay for the girls, guys, location etc. You can expect to pay anywhere from $300-$800+ per girl. It's very costly to shoot your own content.

If you plan to PURCHASE content think again. Exclusive content (only you own) will cost you expense + profit from the seller. It's more feasible to shoot your own content. If it's not exclusive you aren't the only one with possession of it.

Another option is to sign up with an affiliate program and start your own site promoting a 3rd parties web site. It's free to get started and you won't have to worry about the legalities or overhead. I would recommend this first.

Personally I'm done with this genre. Back in the day I got in to (shooting unique content) but these days the money just isn't there due to the extreme market saturation. I still have a web site that promotes live web cams which I do good on but other than that I am done! My personal advice is to not bother with an adult site.

 

As everybody else already have been saying, it's not an easy market. You need to have very good knowledge about laws, and probably have your own servers since most hosting companies don't allow hosting porn. It could also be very expensive to get unique content. If you really want to create a porn site, create something new. Something unique. That's the best way to get big, to make something unique that people like. But I still recommend you to stay away from that business, if you try I wish you good luck!

 

Scrapers without a doubt. Many of the major sites are also all owned by the same guys, just rehashing new sites to stay on top of the game.

Sure some of it's user submitted but I'd venture to guess there's quite a lot scraped and uploaded.

You are entering the wrong field It requires Loads of investment .... And you need to buy the video from Original content makers....

 

Allowing people to upload content etc ...wow are you in for a big surprise there. This industry is saturated and not a good marketing decision.

 

Porn sites eat tons of bandwidth and have extremely low conversion.
You will need to have "new angle"
If I would go into it I would go intro extreme super niche... Like some nasty shit. Real nasty.
But the problem would be with content I assume.

You need to look for Affiliades.They will provide you with all the videos for you to place in your website in retourn of a percentage of the profits.

 

People usually upload the videos to the site not the admin.
