    Hi All,

Does anyone have any advice on whether it works out cheaper to target a Broad or Narrow Audience Reach with Facebook Ads?

Also, is it cheaper to target Likes or Website Clicks

    Cheers

    Hello Jake

It really depends on your audience or your marketing strategy
wheather you want to target you audience or not if you want
to target audience go for the narrow one if you want to increase
audience overall go for the broad.
I think website likes are cheap. But i suggest you to go for Likes
and update your page frequently to get more exposure.
    Hope this helps, Thanks regards.

Well, from my own exp, it's not the broad/narrow audiences that matter, but which countries and how high your CTR is. For example, you can just target US audience, but cost per click is extemely high (because US traffic is expensive), in contrast, if you target broad audiences from third countries: india, china, bangladest, middle east, ..., the price/click - like is quite low.
In addition, if you bid on CPM (not CPC), it also depends on the CTR of your audience (this factor will vary by different niches). For instance, in game niche, audiences from UK response most (highest CTR - I just assume), so you should target just UK (narrow audience but result in high click/like --> Cost/like is low), on the contrary, if you target broad audiences from different countries: canada, australia, new zealand, ... you cost the same money for CPM but the number of click/like you received is lower --> Cost/like is high)
Hope that you understand my point!
    Good luck!

I would suggest posting a few different ads. Some of them can reach a broader audience while others will target specialize groups. Then, analyze the results and decide what works best for you.

In my experience a more narrow audience has been cheaper in terms of advertising. But, being a more narrow audience, you also get fewer results. Again, just my experience.

I am yet to try my hand at Facebook advertising but from what I have seen and heard so far, the more narrow your audience, the cheaper it is because when you have a broader audience, a lot of those clicks can be wasted.

@Also, is it cheaper to target Likes or Website Clicks

Unfortunately I don't have any answer for this one. Would love to hear this myself...

From my experience, its best to target a very narrow set of people. The result and conversions heavily depend on how much research you have done into your niche. If you offer something that isn't out there and people are hungry for it, then definitely try target a narrower audience. You might get less clicks but your conversions will be a lot higher.
