What is the problem with Paypal for Indian Customers?

Discussion in 'PayPal' started by prathaprabhu, Feb 15, 2014.

I had Paypal account since 2008 and it was limited around November 2012 as my eBay account was limited/blocked for some reasons. Paypal launched customer support in India around 2012, ever since they started the support in India many people Indians are having the Paypal limitation issues, when i contacted Paypal support in India nobody in a better position to explain the situation. If someone falls under the same shadow please share your experiences, thoughts and if possible some workarounds to get the account limitation removed.

    Thanks

That's the reason I have started this thread as I haven't received any kind of reply or proper reason why my account is limited. They just said that "We don't want to the business with you" It is weird to see this kind of warning from them and they are acting like GODs.

Why not? It is their business....
When it comes down to Lord Google, Lord Paypal, or Lord Whoever....
    You have no rights....

I see a couple things here.

1: They rejected your business model...
2: or They do not like doing business with India.

and I suppose it really does not matter, in the
end they choose not to do business with you.......
and frankly, that is their right....

Assuming Limitation for no other reasons:

    1: Did you get chargebacks?
2: Did you file disputes on purchases?

I would imagine stuff like this could triger
    paypal account limitations......

    Hi Prathap,

I'm also an Indian using Business A/C with paypal since 2006.

I have had few issues with my a/c in the past & getting them resolved through regular phone or mail will be bit hectic & time consuming.

So I solved few of my problems through their Twitter support https://twitter.com/askpaypal , there was a team member called Frank , who helped me with the issues (it was during 2011) , so he might have gone now.

Anyway that will be the quicker way to atleast communicate with their support , so Follow their Twitter @AskPaypal first & then send a direct message to them with your problem & they will create a support ticket & you can follow-up with them.

BTW: A/C limitation for Indian members might occur if the credit card or bank linked to paypal a/c is not verified , anyway there may be other issues as well , so better to check with them & resolve it.

    Hope this helps :)
