    Hi all,

This is your great opportunity to get this quality domain, a 16+ years old + valid PR5 domain (never dropped).

    Domain name: LUNARLIGHT.NET
    PageRank: 5
    Age: 16 years 1 months 3 days
    Registrar: GoDaddy.com, LLC
    Registered since: December 30, 1997
    Expired date: December 29, 2014

I don't have a reserve price at the moment, just bid your offers I'll consider any offers, If I cancel your bid that means the price not understandable for me.

    Thanks

Unfortunately, there are no backlinks to the domain, and it shows up as getting its PR from an earlier redirect to the PR5 domain mightylab.com.

How do you determine on where it is getting its fake PR from? in this case you said from mightylab.com

He is using wayback machine, IMHO I don't really care how this domain has a high PR, in fact all PR checker says its a valid rank and domain age is really old, only 2 years below my age that means registered when I was a baby and only one year after Google launched.

@rifki.aria What is the BIN price? or give me your desired price range, $xx, $xxx or what?

PR is a an empty number. The real value is in the backlinks and their quality.

The website archive.org saves websites at different points in time. Not all websites, but many.

Enter the URL at archive.org. If you enter lunarlight.net, you'll see a calendar of saves. Click on the June 7, 2013 save. It will show it's a redirect to mightylab.com.

Now, if you go to that site mightylab.com in your browser, you'll see it has PR5. So, back in 2013 the site was redirected to mightylab.com. So it took on the PR of mightylab.com (PR5). The redirect has since been removed. The Google toolbar still shows lunarlight.net with a PR5. The next time Google updates the toolbar page rank, it will display the "real" PR - which is probably PR0.

    Nice explanation.
But even if it were a legitimate PR5 (maybe it used to have high PR backlinks that got removed), if there are no quality backlinks where is the value?!

Really? What a strange way to buy domains. So, you don't care that the PR is fake, and that right now Google *knows* the page rank isn't really PR5 (Google knows the *current* *real* PR of every domain page, even though the toolbar isn't current)? So, you don't care that the next time Google decides to update the toolbar PR it will display the real PR, probably PR0?

Maybe I should get a dozen cheap domains and fake the PR and sell them. I didn't know there were people who would pay money for fake PR even when they know it's fake.

That is very true as well. Always check the backlinks. A domain might have at one time had a nice PR, but if it expired (was dropped), and site owners start removing the backlinks, then even though the toolbar is reporting a high PR, with no good backlinks, the domain really doesn't have a high PR any more. People need to start realizing that the Google toolbar PR display isn't current - it can be many, many months old and might not be (usually isn't) accurate.

Yes, just spend $5 or more on fiverr.com to buy thousand of backlinks. Sell it to a person who don't have the expertise like you to analyze before google update it. :)

I know you meant that as a joke, but that is pretty much what a lot of domain sellers on this site do

I did that few times not on here off course :D by the way we had screwed up his thread, I'm sorry to the OP. But I still would to buy this domain for its age. I'll celebrate its 17th anniversary on next new year eve as its birthday is on 30 dec, sweet seventeen :)

@rifki.aria I'll bid my max budget for this domain after that I will not going to bid again :)

PS: contact me when you considering my bid

    Thanks

    Hi guys,

Thanks for your comments. I never push someone to buy something from me, so if you don't like it just ignore and leave rather than screwed up others business. I mentioned its have valid pagerank since all of checker which I've used says its valid.

@R.A.G Thanks for your bid, will consider for sure. Haha nice idea about your trick with fiverr.com btw :p

@Richard hughes Thank you mate :)

    Thanks
