Contest Simple, T-H-R-E-E letter logo needed. Winner gets $33 via paypal

Hello again talented people,

So I need a new simple but stylish logo.

Please read instructions so you save your time and I also get something I need:

Name: kol

What for: this is a logo that is going to be used for people that lift weights for some clothes (T-shirts, singlets, etc)

Fonts: please try and use wide/bold fonts and please use the letters in lower case

Colours: I do not have a preference for colors as this needs to be in a single colour. You can use charcoal for example but other colours are suitable as well, blue or red

DO NOT USE any muscle men or pictures of muscle

What will probably win is a simple and stylish design with a small tweak to one of the letters.

Not necessary but you can use a stylized or the outline of a barbell plate for the o in kol

Animman: thank you for getting this contest started. Unfortunately this is not what I am looking for. I need a logo without characters or symbols added to it. I need something with bold letters and I feel like your letters/font are just not bold enough. In my instructions I also asked for lower case letters but you chose to use upper case. What will win this design is bold letters and a twist/tweak to one of the letters. Also keep in mind the o can be made out of a stylized barbell plate or some type of drawing that looks like a barbell plate.

 

Animman: this is much, much closer to what I am after. simple, bold letter, lower case, everything is improving. What still needs improving is the simplicity. I think having the effect applied to all three letters is too much. The effect could work better applied just to one of the letters and perhaps just to one part of the letters. For example if you are going to use this for the K then use it so only the top part of the K is having the effect and not the entire letter. Hope this makes sense.

I need to get some rest now (sleeping time right now in Australia) but I will definitely come back and provide feedback to other entries when I wake up.

Animman #5: getting better with every entry. Yes that is going in the right direction. There is still something that's not right about it somehow. Maybe the line through the k is too long and it should be going through just the top part of the K of the "pole" part of the k only. Nevertheless, it's a good entry and it's one I am considering.

WebDeveloperSahil: Thank you but it's not quite what I am after. For the o I suggested a barbell plate but you just used a barbell. The font seems to be suitable but I don't like the effect you used for the letters. Perhaps post again without that effect to the letters, remove the barbell and just simply do a small tweak to one of the letters. Remember, I am after something simple so don't be afraid to have a simple (but not plain) design

Ideosmil: thank you for entering this contest. Yours is a very nice and creative logo as per usual. You are one talented dude. But unfortunately this logo is not suitable. I wanted something simple and stylish and in lower case and yours is in upper case. The font though is nice and bold like I asked. Also the barbell plate looks nice. Perhaps you can try again in lower case and use the same barbell plate for the o

digital_irfan: thanks for the entries. Sorry to disappoint you but I don't like either of them. The top one feels a bit cartoonish and the bottom one the font isn't bold enough. I like the simplicity of the designs though.

Playaone: thank you but it's not what I am after. I need a simple design without many symbols and all I want is a three letter logo with just a small twist to one of the bold letters. Although a small twist to me it looks really good how the K in your logo covers a bit of the o. But other than that sorry but not what I am after.

snowknight: yours looks very brandable and I very much like this brandability aspect of your logo. But overall I think it is not suitable. The focus seems to be too much on the o and that makes the k and l a little too obscure. The font though looks really good.

johnrossgd: thanks for the entries. Simple and stylish. The only problem is they look a little too modern for me and I need something just a bit more classic. I like how you used the star inside the o but the star isn't suitable for this logo. Perhaps if you incorporated somehow a barbell plate. Nice designs but somehow just a touch too modern for me.

GFXShine: thank you but it's not what I am after. The logo looks a little cartoonish and I need something with bolder letters and also as stated in my original post it needs to be in lower case

mvg777: I like the font but not the effects you gave to it. It's a bit too simple overall but with a small tweaking I think it will work. Forget the effects and perhaps have a part of the k on top of the o, or just do a small tweak to one of the letters.

 

Here is my version of the logo based on a lifting belt concept, using weights is very ordinary.
