    I think submit the link on a obsolete directories, blog commenting and guest posting on the spam blogs and submit the article on the thousands of site are not helpful for the seo. We have to move on the quality submission.

    Basically, It is really simple.. For Better SEO Results all you need is to do it yourself with a little self learning from the Web! (You can easily use mattcutts Blog - Head of webspam on google)
    It's like learning from Google itself.... ;)

    If you can't do it or you don't wanna to... Just hire a Good SEO that have Proofs for his work! Do not use any Cheap ones... Do not use Market places as F*verr or SEOCl*rks etc.... Just search for a good company on the web and see recommendation.

    Avoid the following:
    *
    Cheap Low Backlinks!
    * "Black Hat SEO" - Which mean Stay Away From Those Forums!
    * Go read, ask on High Rank SEO Forums!

    What you need ?:
    *
    Create a High PR Quality links....
    * Create your OWN Small articles!
    * Post comment yourself!
    * Read This Thread:
    https://forums.digitalpoint.com/threads/a-few-good-tips-for-your-seo-questions.2705456/

    If you hired an SEO, Make sure to approve Their articles or Comment Links Before continue with their process!

    True!

    Well,

    Anything robotic is bad and will get you tagged as a spammer.

    Also putting content places it is not welcomed or enjoyed do not just run through places dropping links with crap, it is just like a dog running through shiting on things it makes people mad.

    Avoid SEO, avoid mass marketed link building.
    What do you NOT want to do? Go on Fiverr and look at what services they are offering. 95% are nothing more than crap these days. Those are the services you'll want to avoid.

    Why all the hate towards Fiverr and black hat SEO? If 95% of SEO gigs are bad, concentrate on the 5% that are good, that's all. And you guys do understand that a main reason why Google has to make all these constant changes to its ranking formula is that black hat techniques are working, thus forcing them to find new ways to revise their algo in order to defeat them?

    Optimization itself is the thing that has to be avoided, as big G has made clear that any attempt to artificially improve the ranking or authority of websites, be it supposedly "white" or "black," is considered web spam. That includes "quality this, quality that" notions---a mediocre article on a true authority site will still outrank "quality content" on a site artificially seeking that status. Those looking for the squeaky clean path by Google should concentrate on natural site development and natural, diverse link development for their sites, and not trying to crown particular methods as white or black.

    I agree with this too.

    In a lot of posts and blogs related to SEO and Google, there's the potential for penalties for poor backlinks and link spamming now.

    Duplicate content is also not going to gain any reasonable rankings (may even decrease your ranking) so mashups aren't going to get you anywhere.

    Also Microdata doesn't appear to have any benefits / been implemented.

    If you're looking for a bulk of material to read that's Google specific, take a look at the Google Partners Section. https://support.google.com/partners/topic/2799680?hl=en&ref_topic=3111012
    As you read more into the adsense stuff, you learn more that even paid Ad Rank is based upon a Page Quality Score, you can't just buy the top place.

    Well that's horrible advice, on-site SEO will always be relevant. I'm not talking about the spammy "old school" style where you use bold for your keywords. Onsite SEO should be dialed into 70%, nothing more than that. People will disagree with me here but take a look at the top rankings and see how many of them bold their keywords or do other ridiculous things like that. Nothing screams spam like bolded keywords in the content.

    The future of SEO kills spammy link building tchniques. You can thank the disavow tool for that. Google figured out that they couldn't get their search engine results to a certain level without crowdsourcing crappy link sources. Throw out a few algorithm updates that targets the one or two spam techniques they can identify and then watch the swarms of people disavowing links that Google couldn't find.

    Bam. Now Google has a great source of domains that are incredibly low quality for SEO reasons and start devaluing these sites one by one. I'd be willing to guess Google has hired a lot more "quality assurance" human reviewers to review these sites as well to be sure they are low quality.

    That means that the easier the link is to get the more likely that link will be worthless.

    I was wondering that if Google keeps on penalizing the sites soon there will be a day when there would be no any website left that is spammy or something like that ... I was wondering then how Google is going to rank the sites ??? :D So, the moral is sooner or later they have to stop !! :)

    How could it be horrible advice, when you are talking the same ? For me on-page over optimization is doing everything that goes near 100% - using bold, italic, underline, keyword at first para, keyword at last para, keyword in h1,keyword in h2, all such using in every article going to hurt over-all website SEO.

    FrankToys, you've missed "over" in WebLab's advice. You are speaking about the same things. And well, yes, agree with both of you - excessive SEO efforts always tend to hurt rather than help.
