    I have lost the original linking email to a twitter account. I therefore cannot receive the password reset code. How do I delete the @--- account and recreate it?

    There's a way to reset your password by using your phone number, if you linked your twitter with a phone.
    If not, I think that, unfortunately, you've lost your username. Sorry.

    Some times you can find twitter friend, and ask from them, using another acc.
    Android phone or Mobile number allow recover it.
    You can find your twitter mail address using recover mails or mobile,
    you can go one account to another step by step to recover final account
