    Private blog networks. Buy expiring domains with amazing link profiles and add content to them, link to your money site. Or rent them out, but be super selective about your vendor.

    Probably you have misunderstanding with this issue. Guest posting is not a bad way to build link your site. If your article is unique article and its not published in a illegal way. Google has penalized the guest post those are spam, low quality & published in illegal way. So you can carry on it in a right way.

    What Google has banned is spam or duplicate contents be it articles, blog posts, press releases and so on. If you have a non-spammy unique content then you have no problem.
