Client has lost their login id

An old client of mine has just been in touch because they're trying to log into their adsense account but they don't have access under any of their regular email addresses. I've told them what I thought they used but apparently it's not right.

The ads are still serving on their site, presumably the payments are still going into their bank accounts.

Is there a way to use the publish id to find out what the registered email should be?
They could then do a password reset and get going again.

I think this is one possible solution.

Just use tool like firebug and get publisher ID from website adsense code.
Now send email with the request to ask that which email address is used with this publisher ID and to make them trust the person have to send scanned copy of Govt. Photo ID as proof that he is the same person who is holding this Adsense account. So may be they will tell the email address and after getting email he can use forget password option. I hope he remembered answers of security questions at least.
    Best of Luck

Hopefully the fact that the email is coming from the same domain that publishes the ads will be proof enough - after all they're not asking for passwords - just the correct email address. Emailing scanned photo id wouldn't be acceptable unless the Google folk specifically asked for it.

Who should the email be sent to?

They were advised to apply for a new account,
    could be worth a shot.

I just do not see adsense going out of their way to help someone that cannot keep up with their site info.
and I do not see adsense saying this is the info that goes to that info...If they do anything, they may send
out an email to the one on file, but I do not see them disclosing any info. When has anyone ever got anywhere
with adsense concerning why their account was banned; Did adsense help you out when click-bombers
come along, did they warn you or even temp disable your account when it was over, hell no! they dont care....
