What is the best way to manage multiple eCommerce sites

I have not started yet but i am looking to start out with a couple of eCommerce site targeting different niche markets using drop shipping with multiple vendors/manufacturers. So the questions becomes, how would I best manage those sites when it comes to inventory, price updates, email campaigns, etc from one central location?? Since I'm a one man show at the moment, and i plan to expand into other markets, the operational and management side of the house will need to flow as smooth as possible.

I've also narrowed my choice of eCommerce platform to either Opencart or Prestashop though I think I'm leaning more towards the first option. So if anyone could provide some guidance it would be greatly appreciated.

Not sure about the Opencart and Prestashop but Magento will allow you to integrate an Openbarvo ERP system that helps you

The eCommerce web site involves the launch and branding of a particular product. Seira commerce is latest technology discovered for various eCommerce platform. It allows one to connect multiple sites to one system and you can control or manage the site from only one central location.

I don't manage more than one site. Just that is way too much as it is. :D However, for the brave and diligent, I think the above tools sound like a great match for this job. I have yet to try them, though.

I have to really say Magento is what your after here. Out of the top 1 million ecommerce sites 26% of them now use Magento and growing.

It is a bit of a beast but if you spend the time to get to grips with it, it will allows you to do whatever it is you need. Due to it being opensource there are no real barriers for you.

This is all very true. And there are a lot of licensed developers who can link up with you and help you out when it comes to getting your online shop looking exactly the way you want it to.

Since Magento is open-source, you can also get a lot of awesome information out of the message boards:

    http://www.magentocommerce.com/boards

Of course, this is just one sales channel. You'll need a tool like ours (see my above post for links) if you want to be syncing your inventory on your Magento store as well as other marketplaces or webstores.
