For online business is SEO mandatory?

I have a website. It is a static page. So, should I need SEO advisor for promotion, please guide.

 

It's not mandatory at all.

I think it's a great way to generate traffic and encourage people to experiment with it but there a lot of different ways to run a successful online business.

 

It is hard to provide advice more detailed than what SEOArbiter Joann said without additional information such as what you are trying to sell, to whom you are trying to sell it to, marketing methods you are currently using, etc.

 

Start now, results take time.

Proper SEO cuts down on the amount of money you spend promoting your site. On the other hand, you have to purchase effective SEO services and tools to make it happen fast.

 

It's not mandatory but worth doing if dome properly ie without spam links etc

Its not mandatory, in fact I wouldn't recommend focusing on it alone. Focus on telling people about the site etc. If it is about making sales then tell people about it, and sell the product as it won't matter much as long as you are selling.

 

That was my point. That phrase is very similar in meaning to "shoot first and ask questions later." I was not necessarily agreeing with that approach, just acknowledging it.

 

Like what most said here. It's not mandatory. The way i look at it, SEO is a type of promotion since you can get a high rank eventually.

 

As mentioned it it isn't mandatory unless you lump social into the SEO equation. Social will take over as the preferred way to optimize your site in the search engines - Sooner rather than later..

 

Exactly as long as you are active on social networks then the SEO will be pretty good, but later you can do it yourself.

 

Like everyone said its not mandatory. It does help but its a lot to keep putting quality content on your site. It takes a while for google to recongnize your site. And with googles constant changing of their algorithm I wouldn't rely on google alone.

 

Yea good quality content is the most important thing.

 

SEO is not mandatory. You should focus on other avenues of traffic cuz search engine traffic takes the longest to build up

 

personally I think SEO is very impotant. Ranking #1 on google can make you tons of cash

 

But, getting customers is more important. Eventually the SEO will get you the customers but getting customers is the main goal.

 

Yea I agree with the previous posts that you need to be active on Social Media. Other than that, with one single static page, kinda hard to do SEO but not impossible
