Okay, I think I understand now. I think your best go-to option would be creating a buzz in social media, if that's possible. Having blogs and magazines write about you might bring you more attention. Establishing relations with other projects in your niche or related to it might help. And of course I don't know what your project is about, but getting some sort of "viral" exposure is bound to bring you what you're looking for. That, again, can probably be achieved easiest with the use of social media. I hope this helps and gives you some ideas.
