    Hello,

I need to contact Admin. Just tried starting a convo with Shawn but it wont let me. Tried email, Twitter, etc. Is there anyone I can speak to privately?

    Thank you

Thank you. I've just sent a coupe convo requests. I'm waiting for a reply.

Hmm. Not sure that anyone is Online right now that can help. My predicament is as follows: Couple years ago I registered an Account here and made a couple posts. I sold the Domain which I used the email from to register "". I haven't owned said Domain in some time, but as I'm Googling, I run into one of those old posts that is not only potentially harmful to my new business, but I placed some other personal contact info in it as well. So now I need to login so I can not only remove that Thread, but that entire Account if possible. However the password recovery wont work because I signed up with the addy from the Domain I no longer own. How does one go about gaining access?

You have 8 hours to edit/delete a post you make. After that, you can't. I can only assume it's been longer than 8 hours...

See the "Changing/Deleting Your Posts" section here: https://www.digitalpoint.com/help/policies

I understand you have rules, however I'm wanting to delete the entire Account. Not doing so could result in my being physically harmed. This is why I've been trying to contact you through many channels.

Account deletion isn't a service we offer. Honestly though, if you are going to be physically harmed due to something you posted somewhere (again, I'm not even sure what it is), you really should be talking to the authorities.

I'm fully aware of what I need to do, it's what I need to do here on DP that is the question. I need a post / account removed. Do I need to send over a DMCA, or just let me know. It doesn't make sense that you have no option for someone in this particular situation.

The post in question contains personal info which can be damaging to me in more way than one. I'm requesting that you remove atleast that portion. If not, please send me a PM with where I can send the DMCA, as do not approve that info to be visible on this Website. If the DMCA doesn't work, we'll go from there.

Sure... if it's a copyright infringement issue (like someone else posted an attachment with a copy of your software, you can file a DMCA). DMCAs don't cause things to be blindly deleted though, in case that is your goal... If it's not an issue of your copyright being violated by someone else (not sure it's possible for you to violate your own copyright for example), it will be ignored (DMCAs are only for copyright violations against you).

You can find specific info about DMCAs (including where to send it to) here: https://www.digitalpoint.com/help/policies

You have my personal info readily available on your Website, I'm asking that you remove it because you won't allow me too.

If you checked your Twitter Account you would.

Again, I'm not sure what that info is exactly, so I'll assume it wasn't posted by me.

If a user is committing slander or libel against you, you would want to go through the normal legal system. Whoever posted the info is who you ultimately would end up suing.

See info on the United States Communications Decency Act here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Section_230_of_the_Communications_Decency_Act

You can send us a subpoena for information regarding the user in question (assuming you don't know who they are) for your legal action as outlined in the "Subpoenas" section here: https://www.digitalpoint.com/help/policies

    Check it for what?

For the love of God man, lol ... I created the Account as stated above and in the Twitter messages and convos I've sent you. I accidentally placed my own personal info inthe Thread, I want to login to remove it / edit atleast the personal info out, but I cant because I no longer own the Domain I used to register here at DP. In the time you've taken to respond to all these posts, you could have made 3 clicks of a mouse to resolve my issue. It's not a service, it's common courtesy / sense.

This forum has 710,000 members......IF he just did "3 clicks" a week for each member......

Come on "for the love of god man"

You should have not sold the domain, or reset your email password before you sold it ;)

We always respond to tweets where someone writes @digitalpoint (when it's something we can respond to). Did you maybe tag a different account in your tweet (because I honestly have not seen anything that I can recall as maybe being from you... also probably doesn't help that I don't know who you are on Twitter either)?

If you are trying to recover an old account, you can prove ownership of the account and we can change the email address for you (what that proof might be is up to you... we give you various options to prove ownership automatically [email, password, etc.], so if you can't prove ownership based on that, then it would ultimately be on you to figure out how to prove ownership).

We have 11,211 followers, of which we click on 0 of them to read what they are tweeting day to day. The only way we will see something is if they tag us with an @digitalpoint in their tweet.

Either way, without knowing what your Twitter username is, there's no way we can go try and find what you are referring to if you don't want to repeat it...

All the tags are @digitalpoint. I'm your newest Follower.

Please just check your last 4 or 5 Mentions, all tagged @digitalpoint.

After you have a look at your Twitter Account, the bounce back from , and your Convos here on DP, can you please let me know how we can begin the proofing process in private? Thank you.

I assume you don't really know how Twitter works... you set your tweets to be protected, meaning the ONLY people that can see your tweets (or are notified when you tag them) are users who are following you.

You are correct, I'm not a Twitter person as you can see by all 7 of my Tweets. However I follow you which would have sent you a notification no? Now that you have found your Followers list, can you please tell me how we can begin the proofing process in private?

Why would you go out of your way to post the image of my Twitter Account instead of just saying "you're set to private"?

@digitalpoint how in the world do you find time to answer almost everyone? (you don't have to answer this, this is just a rhetorical question). I take my hat off to you. I wish I could have so much patience and grace... Honestly.

No... Twitter will not send notifications for tweets that the person receiving the notification doesn't have access to read.

There is no specific "proofing process". Again... we give users the ability to verify they are owner of their account through various means (password or email normally). If you don't know your password and don't have access to your email, you would need to provide some other form of proof of account ownership (what that proof might entail is something you would need to come up with since you aren't able to utilize the normal methods we provide).

Contrary to what some might say, I'm not out to get people, not a vindictive person and actually like helping people... Sometimes people just don't understand that managing a large site ends up needing to have rules, policies and procedures to get stuff done... mostly for the user's own protection.
