    Has Pinterest become the dominant force to rank higher on google?
    Lately I have seen many boards being ranked on the first page of google for various
    Keywords, which makes me think if Pinterest Boards are much profitable than
    our sites.
    Looking forward for your views :)

    I've found Pinterest is a great way to get targeted traffic. I've been using it more for direct traffic, but if it ranks well on Google too, that's just a big plus. :)

    Definitely Pinterest boards are ranking higher on Google SERP. If you search a familiar keyword in Google, most probably you can find a link from Pinterest board and if you search some person’s name you can find his Pinterest profile or board if he/she has an account on it. I’m wondering how this is happening?? because you can easily promote a link in Pinterest because there is no restriction to use hyper link in that site but most of the other high power sites won’t allow you to spam there site. Even though Pinterest allows n-number of hyperlinks Google consider that site as highly powerful :) :)

    because google loves authority websites. same as linkedin also ranked on your "name" if you have profile on linkedin.

    Pinterest has a high reliance on images which Google loves. It's also a major online community, again something that Google loves :)

    Pinterest traffic only happens in some niches. If it's a female orientated niche like cooking, fashion, jewlery etc you're golden but if you're into SEO then Pinterest is al but useless.

    Yes or No. Pinterest loves high resolution images pin from your website .. that means they got indexed by Google. So your profile can be found on Google is easy to understand.

    Pinterest is definitely more powerful than the other normal sites. You are talking about a PR 9 site mate. I even ranks for keywords wherein only the top players come.
