    yes backlinks are still usefull for seo..try giving backlinks by using socail media sites..

    They said Link posting on forum in comments are not welcome anymore.. and i made some free vbulletin themes and they are very popular on vb.org and lot of peoples installed theme on PR 0 forums and theme was containing link back to my forum in footer "Theme Designed By" i think this can also be problem, than i blocked all 635 linked domains from vBSEO

    To get on the first pages of Bing, Google & Yahoo, you don't need any strong back links, I have done it on three of my websites.

    Of course you still need backlinks. However, you need them from sites that are of value and are related to your site. Also, you don't want to use the exact same anchor text for every link.
