How I Found Huge UNTAPPED Niches for my SEO Work

    Hey everyone.

I'm new here and wanted to share some value with anyone who can benefit from it.
The easiest way I have found to get good with SEO starts with something a little different than where most people think.

I have seen most people start by looking finding broad niches that they are interested in and try to make a site to tackle them. Terms like "Learn to sing better" or "tips to sing better" for example.

These terms aren't the toughest, but if you're just starting out, I have a strategy that might help.

    KEYWORD RESEARCH

First off, I use the Google Keyword Planner for all of my keyword research. However the keyword tool isn't very good at generating great keyword ideas. (most people are unaware of this)

    Let me give an example.

Say I am passionate about Cartoons and want to make a site about it. Childish I know.

So if I go into the keyword planner and type in "Cartoons" I am going to just get a list like the following:
    Free cartoons
    Political cartoons
    kids cartoons.

Basically not giving me any good specific terms. Just broad ones that are all pretty tough to rank highly for.

But what I would do is Niche down within the Cartoons niche. What I would then do, is go to google, and search "Top 10 chartoon shows." within that search I find "The Jetsons"

That term alone - The Jetsons gets over 18,000 searches a month! But now I take this one step further. I type "The Jetsons" into the keyword planner now, and look for more niched down terms that I can easily tackle with SEO. Such as "The Jetsons Dog" which has 2,900 monthly searches!

How many people do you think are making pages on their site SPECIFICALLY for The jetsons dog?

    Not many.

So if you make just one page on your site and Title it "The Jetsons Dog" and make sure you put the same title in H1 text somewhere on the page and maybe even a Youtube video too, you guys can EASILY rank for that big volume search term.

Next I would go back to the suggestions in the keyword tool for the jetsons and find another very specific term that no one is specifically targeting and make another page on my site about it.

I would do this for about 5-8 terms.

Pretty soon I should be ranking very well for a total of roughly 20,000 monthly combined searches!

So to sum it all up.

    1) Find a niche you want to go after. - Say Sports

    2) Pick a niche within that niche - Table Tennis

    3) Find a niche within that niche - Stiga Table Tennis Paddles

    4) Make a few pages related to this niched out term - Stiga paddle reviews, stiga paddle grips, stiga paddle stats

I hope this helps some of you guys find new untapped niches to go and CRUSH!

Straight to the point, you have the knowledge! I will add fifth step - analyze top 10 competition on google, their backlinks, domain authority, and make a plan to outrank them.
Of course, on-page SEO is a must.

Indeed this work, I tell from experience, few people bother to rank keywords with 1000/2000 searches or even less per month, means less competition to us, the smart guys.
