Got reseller hosting, need to change ftp username

    Hi DP,
    I have a domain, and i got it with reseller hosting plan from hostgator
    i dont know if my domain is addon or subdomain or anything..,

    My hosting provider said i cant change the ftp username...,
    How to change my ftp username? is that possible?

    The domain you used to order the reseller hosting plan should act as the primary domain name. As far as FTP is concerned, you can change the FTP password. The primary FTP account username in cPanel can't be changed.

    You can't change ftp user name. You can change your password or create another ftp user. If you want to change reseller user name, then contact with your provider.

    having an hostgator account as well, and have already change my primary ftp account:

    so, if you wish to change the primary one, no choice you have to contact the support (live chat is always helpfull there)

    if you wish to change the password on a sub account, then logon into WHM under list of account, you will be able to change the password.
