Nissan.com hanging in there

    I must have been following this site for a few years now.

    No its not owned by Nissan Motor Company, theres is nissandriven.com or nissanusa.com, something like that.

    But they are getting sued big time by Nissan Motor Company.

    Why, just because using their name.

    Well the guy who owns nissan.com has some very valid arguments.

    Nissan Automotive is a bully. They have no exclusive right to the name. If the guy wants to keep it, he had first dibs and should be allowed to retain the domain. I hate it when corporations through their weight around!

    Given that he's not competing with Nissan and it's the family name I think the car crowd are doing themselves a huge disservice. All they need to do is pay for a discreet ad on the site or buy the domain. The computer site doesn't need the extra traffic and can't profit from the accidental traffic so there's no real conflict.
