    Are "international" matching sites better then local ones? I always had the feeling that you get better dates from localized dating sites. (by that i mean sites that are thought for one country only)

    I met my husband on okcupid and know of two other happily married couples who met there.
    The nice thing about online dating is that you can really filter through people quickly. Not in a mean way, but you can prioritize what is important to you and base it on real issues. That way you don't have to go through the trouble of people thinking you are "soul mates" because you both have the same favorite color. You can ask people questions about their life goals and ideals and decide to date them based on that.
    I heard somewhere that 1 out of 3 relationships start online now, I don't know if it is true but I wouldn't be surprised.
