    Once Post in month it's not okey brother you have to update your blog daily. Because if you update your blog daily basis then your blog seo is also improve and ranking.
    Second thing you have to provide quality content if you want to attract more traffic. short but quality.

    Yup try to update your blog daily i mean if you made 3 to 5 posts in week that's okay but update your blog daily i mean some setting some changing some comment sections. :)
