hi guys , i am new on google Adwords Keyword planner .i have some idea how to use it but still i wanna learn more about it. i am trying to figure it out that how you guys select the keyword from google keyword planner ? you select the higher competition keywords or low or medium ? which one would be best to get more traffic ?
Search for keyword and adgroup ideas – Select this option if you want to perform normal keyword research where you just enter in your keywords and Google will show you the searches based on these keywords.Google will also show you suggested adgroups based on this keyword and some advertising information. The adgroups will have a selection of keywords similar to your keyword.And choose the keywords which have more combination phrases and choose less competition high search count keywords which will be easier for your ranking
Select keywords which are higher search volume and lower competition, you must take all related keywords and make a cluster and check the search volume all of them and target the main keyword. It will helps a lot to get more organic traffic.
If you choose high competition keywords, even if you optimize for them, you are not going to be able to receive a lot of traffic. Choose the keywords with high search volume and medium to low competition.
Agree with @Iulia Ideally, you should find keywords that are not very competitive, but have big search volume (are popular with searchers). That's pretty a challenging task to do, you need to consider a lot of keywords. their combinations and their variations. Also, to surface the most traffic productive keywords, you may calculate Keyword Efficiency Index (competition to search volume ratio) for your analyzed keywords. Some SEOs look at this metric when analyzing keywords and choose the ones that have the highest KEI. There are some tools (e.g. Rank Tracker by Link-Assistant, WebMeUp, etc.) that automatically calculate this value.
