After Google HummingBird Update?

Hi,

After the Google Hummingbird update, what are the best strategies that are really helpful to improve SERP.

 

As Google claims that its Hummingbird algorithm offers a more natural way to use its search engines. Like when you type "what is the length of river Thames?", you will get an answer - 346 km. Many such conversational features are added into new Hummingbird algorithm. But Google has not completely replaced old features from previous algorithm. They still exist.

As long as SEO is concerned,
Google Press department already said about the update - "Our guidance to webmasters is the same as always - we encourage original, high-quality content, since that's what's best for web users." So you just need to carry on your SEO activities which satisfies Google webmasters guidelines.

This update is kind of a new car-engine which still uses old parts along with new features like fuel injection or be unable to use unleaded fuel. The new changes might have small impact on old algorithm but has not replaced it completely.

 

Below I have mentioned few quick points for your reference-

* Create quality, linkable and relevant content

* There is no need to bring in drastic changes in your SEO strategy

* Focus less on just keywords and more behind the intention of using it & your customers

* Actively engage with your potential customers on blogs and other web 2.0 media

* Understand and adapt semantic search

* Emphasis more on social media interaction

Hummingbird update is not about to change SEO strategies or activities. It's an update to make search queries more sensible i.e, to display "conversational based results" not only traditional keyword based results. But be preventive and share according user friendly and search trend.

 

I agree @johnsonlogic with you but approx 1 years i never use any exact keywords links but why not increase my website rank, please suggest me how i will increase organic rank.

 

It also wouldn't hurt to diversity your anchor text. Even something as simple as capitalizing it e.g. "Camel Training Courses" instead of "camel training courses".
